1&1 AG represents the Consumer Access business of United Internet AG and offers a comprehensive portfolio of wireless services and broadband access, comprising attractive bundled products as well as value-added applications such as smart home solutions, online storage, video-on-demand and IPTV.
With around 4.1 million broadband connections, 1&1 is the largest alternative DSL provider in Germany. For gigabit speeds in the fixed network, 1&1 also uses the fiber-optic network of 1&1 Versatel and is able to supply millions of households with fiber-optic connections through cooperations with Deutsche Telekom and leading city carriers.
The quality of its fixed-network products has regularly been awarded first place in the prestigious "connect Festnetztest" since 2015.
In wireless services, the company offers innovative services and products for more than 12 million customers. With the full launch of the 1&1 5G network in December 2023, Germany once again has four mobile networks instead of just three. As a new network operator, 1&1 is using the latest technology right from the start and is thus operating Europe's first 5G network based on the innovative Open-RAN-Technology. Wherever the new 1&1 5G network does not yet have its own coverage during the set-up phase, 1&1 customers will automatically use antennas from Vodafone, respectively Telefónica.
