Tasks

To manage our approximately 190,000 server and network devices in our data centers, we are seeking a reliable hardware technician. You can expect an exciting range of responsibilities, a dynamic field, and a culture that values new ideas, initiative, and the ability to collaborate. Among other things, you will be responsible for:

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of servers, blades, storages, and network switches in our high-performance data centers operating on a 3-shift schedule.
• Active optimization of our data center's efficiency through server relocations, modifications, and defragmentation measures.
• Monitoring and independent repair of our dedicated servers according to specified guidelines.
• Evaluation and consultation on the selection of new IT components.
• Maintenance of our documentation and expansion of our knowledge database.

Qualifications

• You have completed training as an IT systems technician, IT specialist for system integration, or a comparable hardware-related professional training.
• Alternatively, you have already gathered several years of experience working with IT components and network devices in data centers.
• Solid hardware knowledge, including practical experience and confident handling of sensitive electronic equipment.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows.
• Fundamentals of scripting and network technology are advantageous.
• Enjoyment of working in a dynamic team with a strong service orientation.
• Resilience, reliability, and a confident demeanor in stressful situations.
• Proficient communication in German and English.
• A Class B driver's license is mandatory.
