As a Product Owner in the Payment Services team, you are responsible for coordinating and further developing the payment processes within the IONOS Group. You work at the interface between internal departments, external payment service providers, and auditing partners, ensuring that our payment and fraud prevention systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. In doing so, you always keep the impact on our customers in mind and play a key role in implementing new payment methods, secure processes, and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the central interface between Finance and IT.
- Coordinate projects for the introduction and further development of payment systems and fraud prevention solutions.
- Plan and support security-related audits (e.g., PCI-DSS).
- Manage and prioritize development projects in the payment area, including communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee contract management with payment service providers.
- Prepare presentations and decision templates for management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Business Informatics, Economics, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience (ideally 5–10 years) in project or process management within the e-commerce, payment, or financial sector.
- Experience in working with payment service providers, and ideally knowledge of audits and compliance requirements.
- Technical understanding of software development processes and their dependencies.
- Structured and analytical working style with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Business-fluent German and English skills.
