Your Tasks

Do you want to start your career in a modern digital company where information security plays a central role? Are you ready to further optimize our level of security for over 43 million customers and go the extra mile every day? Then we are looking for you as a Junior Security Specialist (f/m/d) for our Governance, Risk & Compliance team, which is responsible for the organizational aspects of information security at Mail & Media.

  • You will carry out hazard and risk analyses, prepare the results in a goal-oriented manner and coordinate suitable measures to minimise risk.
  • You will carry out security audits and assessments both in our internal departments and at our business partners and suppliers and document the results.
  • You will ensure a continuous increase in security awareness in the company by preparing and conducting security training courses and presentations for various technical and non-technical target groups. 
  • You will optimize our security policies taking into account internal and external compliance requirements, the state of the art as well as the interests and structure of the company.
  • You will create necessary documentation and represent Mail & Media in external security audits, such as ISO27001

  • You have successfully completed a degree in (business) informatics or comparable training, preferably with specialization and/or internship in the field of information security, or are about to do so.
  • Your solid technical background enables you to identify security risks in large, distributed IT infrastructures and propose appropriate measures.
  • You have a high affinity for data and data-driven decisions. Ideally, you’ve already gained some experience in topics such as data analysis, data visualization, data science or process mining during your studies.
  • You are a team player who always leads by example. Your hands-on mentality and growth mindset will help you gain the necessary trust in the organization.
  • You have very good written and oral presentation skills. Your ability to communicate in all situations in a way that is appropriate for the recipient (in German and English, each at C1 level) rounds off your profile.
